The ACMAT ALTV (Airtransportable Vehicule Tactique Leger) is a new all-wheel drive pickup truck. This vehicle is intended for utility, reconnaissance and law enforcement applications. Some sources claim that it is based on Nissan commercial pickup truck. The ALTV was revealed in 2009 and it is already in service. All ACMAT vehicles are known for their simplicity, ruggedness, reliability and commonality of parts across their product range. The ACMAT produces inexpensive military vehicles mainly aimed at developing African and Asian countries. The ALTV is being proposed for both military and civil customers.

The ALTV light tactical vehicle is available with two-door (ALTV SC) or four-door (ALTV DC) cab. An open-cab version (ALTV Torpedo) for special forces is also available. Vehicle has a payload capacity of 1.3 - 1.4 t, depending on the version. A cargo area in the rear can be used to carry troops, cargo, shelters, standard ISO pallets. It is fitted with benches for the troop transportation. This light military vehicle can carry up to 10 men both in the cab and cargo area. Bars and canvas cover for the cargo area are optional. This military vehicle can be tailored to suit many roles.

The ALTV can be armed with a ring-mounted 7.62-mm or 12.7-mm machine gun, or 40-mm automatic grenade launcher. Vehicle can be also used as a weapon carrier for anti-tank or anti-aircraft missiles.

Ballistic protection for the cab and gunner is proposed as an option. It provides protection against 5.56- and 7.62-mm bullets. Armored version withstands hand grenade blasts and anti-personnel mine explosions under the hull.

The ALTV is powered by a 2.5-liter turbocharged diesel engine, developing 190 hp. Engine is usually coupled with manual transmission, however automatic transmission is also available. The ALTV has an unrefueled range of up to 1 600 km and is well suited for long-range patrols. Vehicle also carries 78 liters of drinking water. Both of these features give it autonomy in deserts. A central tyre inflation system and run-flat tyres are proposed as an option. Self-recovery winch is also optional. It seems that this vehicle is capable of fording water obstacles up to 1.2 m deep with a special kit installed. The ALTV has climatic operational range from -25°C to +55°C. A special cold weather kit is proposed as an option it allows to drive the vehicle when temperature is as low as -32°C. This ACMAT pickup truck can be airlifted by the C-130 Hercules, C-160 Transall and larger military cargo aircraft. It can be also carried underslung by the CH-47 Chinook helicopter. The ALTV also can be paradropped.
